On Christian Fellowship: the One Another Commands

In the NT we find many instructions and commands on how we are to help each other as Christians. They are sometimes called the 'one another commands' as they call us to act towards one another in a certain way. Here are some of them.

- Love one another (Jn 13:34)
- Instruct one another (Rom 15:14)
- Have concern for one another (1 Cor 12:25)
- Speak the truth in love to one another (Eph 4:15)
- Build one another up by what you say (Eph 4:29)
- Teach and admonish one another with the word of Christ (Col 3:16)
- Encourage one another and build one another up (1 Thess 5:1)
- Encourage one another daily so that you are not hardened by sin's deceitfulness (Heb 3:13)
- Spur one another on to love and good deeds (heb 10:24)
- Confess your sins to each other (Jas 5:16)
- Pray for one another (Jas 5:16, Eph 6:18)
- Use your gifts to serve one another (1 Pet 3:7-10)

The studies following this will be from the Gospel of John, and will start on 7 March. These are a very unique look at the Lord Jesus through study of the seven 'I am' sayings of Christ from the gospel of John, and will be prepared and led by Uncle Chek Phang and Elder David Leong. A brief run through of the planned programme is as follows -

14 Mar I am the Light of the World
21 Mar I am the Door to the sheep
28 Mar (Special event)
4 Apr I am the Good Shepherd
11 Apr I am the Ressurection
28 Apr I am the Way
25 Apr Zion ACM

This is a very special Bible Study and we hope you will join us as we delve into God's word and see how John systematically presents the Lord Jesus as Son of God. Thanks Elsie for publicity design!

10 JAN: Study 1 & A Run

1. This saturday we will be having our first study on the book Basic Christianity. The study will be on chapters 2 & 3, please read up beforehand okay (: The study questions have been emailed out. If you are not getting emails and are reading this, please email me (see right column) or hunt me down in person asap.

2. There will also be an interesting activity this week: a YAF run! This will take place from about 6-7 after our bible study and before dinner, around gardens. Please bring along running attire, shoes and a change of clothes, and your own water bottle if you wish. The run will be led by Ivan, Jinling and Julia, yay.
